I'm a bit of a perfectionist; while my home space leaves something to be desired with clothes, plates, CDs, papers, art books, and what-have-you strewn about, my work environment I like to keep nice and neat. When you're on a schedule, suddenly everything becomes time sensitive, I suppose.

And while I hold myself to these strict guidelines when it comes to my comic, Terraform, and my Thing A Day, occasionally I forget the reason why I'm doing it - to have fun, and to make something people enjoy. I get so wrapped up in making things perfect and making sure they're right and wonderful and great and amazing that I forget that the buildings don't need to be up to strict code sometimes, that nobody's going to notice that that strand of hair isn't where it was in the last scene, that those little imperfections that make characters pop are the very things that make what I do unique.

Sometimes I forget about that.

So I just let it go, put the pen to the tablet or paper, and see what happens.

It's an imperfect world, after all.

I'm re-working my commission structure and prices a bit! All prices in USD. These are prices for single characters, but if you have something else in mind (multiple characters, something not listed here) contact me and we can work something out!

$5 for a sketched bust from the waist or hips up.
$10 for a full-body sketch, or an inked bust.
$25 for a full-body inked picture.
$35 for the same with color, or halftones.

I can do backgrounds a bit, but they're not my strong suit right now. I'll throw in a simple background (shadowing, etc.) to any of 'em at no additional charge if you want.

Where do I begin? And how do I not sound like a narcissist in the process? I mean, I put "professional" up there but I don't yet do any professional work. But I wouldn't consider myself a "hobbyist" either because of the work I do. So that's already one strike against me.

What was I saying? Oh, right. Hi. My name is Kellen. I make comics, like Terraform, and I dream in black and white. I'm currently working on doing a new Thing A Day for each day of 2011 - did I say 2011? I meant 2012 - and when I'm not doing that, I'm probably at my job at a tech desk or relaxing playing games, watching TV shows or movies, hanging with friends, or some combination of those things, like most humans do.

But mostly, I draw - because it's fun, because I love it, and because it's something I've been passionate about doing for as long as I can remember. Thanks for stopping by, and I hope you like what you see - after all, I enjoy sharing what I do just as much as I enjoy doing it.

What program do you use when making your art, i use Photoshop cs3 and i cant get my lines that smooth and i agree with :iconsolomon-love: you do make the best boobs ever
